In 1894, Jacob Fry purchased 765 acres and began the first commercial orchard. Apple and cherry trees were planted. This was also a working ranch and farm.
The city’s official birth was on April 4, 1911, when 35 citizens voted to incorporate their community into Westminster. Since then, the city has thrived, growing into a community that offers great neighborhoods, excellent schools and award-winning public facilities.
